Profile

Bet Capdeferro received her Architectural Degree from the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB) and holds a Master in Landscape Architecture from the Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya. She led the Culture Committee of the Girona Demarcation of the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya between 2000 and 2002. In 2003 she founded the office bosch.capdeferro architectures with Ramon Bosch, in their hometown of Girona.

Her professional activity has progressed in parallel to teaching in Barcelona, Zurich and Girona, supporting from the fields of theory and research the development of design and construction processes. She is currently teaching project design at the Universitat de Girona. She was awarded with the Young Catalan Architects Prize in 2002 and has recently received the Emerging Architect Special Mention of the European Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies Van Der Rohe 2011.
