Profile

Juanjo Castellón is a licensed architect with a degree in Architecture from Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB), holding an M.Arch in Emergent Technologies and Design from the Architectural Association School of Architecture.

He is currently a researcher and PhD Candidate at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ). Scientific Assistant at the D-ARCH ETHZ (Chair of Structural Design), he has worked as an architect in such internationaly renowned offices as Cloud9 (Barcelona), Abalos & Herreros (Madrid), FOA (London), SHoP Architects (New York) and Herzog & de Meuron (Basel).

His research work is focused in the integration of digital tools and contemporary design processes with traditional materials and techniques.
