Building the BIArch represents an ongoing process of building a space—inventing a place with the appropriate conditions of environment, geometry and interconnection.
The Institute is a place for the production and dissemination of architectural knowledge, anchored in a specific place and culture but open to the exterior. With solid foundations, its marked permeability responds to the will to create its own singular niche.
Signaling the start of our activities, this Journal presents an initial account of significant issues that the BIArch, as an international research centre, considers worthy of close attention.
