MBIArch Student Reflections

Reviews

04/07/2011

Students from the inaugural edition of the MBIArch Program reflect on their year at the Barcelona Institute of Architecture, the course curriculum, and how they feel having now completed the course.

Andjelka Badjnar (History and Theory Award) and Iva Petkovic, both from Montenegro, describe the portions of the program that contributed the most to their learning and their thoughts on returning to professional practice.

In this video we interview Saba Ghasemizadeh from Iran (Portfolio Award), George Kallis from Cyprus (BIArch Award) and Nuria Casais from Spain (Urban Studies Award) who talk about their experiences in the MBIArch and working together on the core design studio ‘Verticalscapes’.

Aaron Tregent from Australia and Marta García Orte from Spain discuss their personal reflections on their year at BIArch, and what it was like collaborating with one another on the core design studio ‘Verticalscapes’.

Ala’ Zreigat from Jordan, Matilde González Asteinza from Spain (Building Technologies Award) and Melissa Chapman-Smith from the United States of America each reflect on their experience in the MBIArch, and how they feel now having completed the program.

Verticalscapes’ partners Anne Strüwing from Germany and Carlos Cabrera Muñoz from Mexico tell us which portion of the program contributed the most to their growth this year, and describe the balance they found in the core design studio they developed together in the second term.
