The third of this Fall’s Open Lecture series was delivered by Chilean architect Cecilia Puga on Wednesday, November 23rd, in the Auditorium CX of La Pedrera.

Puga opened the lecture with references to Chile’s inevitable condition of ‘isolation’ from a more complex context which, as she explains, have provided her a space to develop themes in her work- an indulgence in a few recurrent obsessions. Puga went on to present projects from her body of work in three groupings of these ‘obsessions’: Seams, The Weight of Things and Vaults.

The full-length video of Cecilia Puga’s Open Lecture can now be viewed on our Vimeo channel, as well as Olga Felip’s introduction of the lecture. Pictures of the event have also been published on BIArch’s Flickr page.

Cecilia Puga is currently a Visiting Professor at the Barcelona Institute of Architecture, leading the short design studio titled ‘Détournements’.
