The Advisory Council of the Barcelona Institute of Architecture establishes a combined local and international framework for the Institute's interests, by defining strategies for action and creating an extended academic and professional collaboration network, in a way that establishes BIArch and its academic program in the context of global architectural debates. The Advisory Council is constituted by active professionals and academics with strong ties to architecture and urban culture. The first of the yearly Advisory Council meetings was held on June 26th and 27th, under the premise of "Economic Crisis and Architectural Change".
