What are the opportunities and the limits of digital media and technologies from the point of view of design practices? More importantly, what will be the consequences of their pervasive use and how will they influence the reappraisal of architecture as a discipline in the near future? Within the frame of the MBIArch curriculum, Digital Media will focus on a critical understanding of digital technologies in relation to both practical architectural issues such as visualization, prototyping, energy and structural simulations, as well as more reflective notions of meaning and representation, promoting a clear understanding of how these tools can be put to use in order to open up areas of innovation in architectural processes and design strategies.
