Sustainability has become a generic term covering countless activities, from geopolitics to industrial design. Its origin in the management of natural resources with the aim of striking a balance between progress and biodiversity is too general for it to be applied objectively in architecture.
Education could be based on this paradigm shift from the tectonic to the thermodynamic as a response to our knowledge of crisis in the fields of architecture and landscape.
